Disc serve many purposes, including creating space between the vertebrae, acting as shock absorbers, and allowing increased movement or range of motion. The inside jelly like material in disc compress and expand based on impact and movement. Trauma can cause the disc to become herniated, bulged, displaced, or ruptured. Disc degenerate with age and begin to weaken and dry up or dehydrate. When a disc degenerates or is injured, the spine becomes compromised and functions less efficiently causing pressure on the nerves and pain.

Chiropractors treat these conditions without drugs or surgery. In many cases, you can experience relief from these conditions with chiropractic by properly aligning the spine. Pressure can be relieved on the nerves and the disc. Reducing or elimination pain and discomfort.

Chiropractic treats whiplash by addressing the soft tissue injury with therapy and rehab along with chiropractic alignment of the injured vertebrae.

  • Arthritis is a condition caused by the wearing down of the cartilage between joints. Arthritis can be painful and cause the affected areas to not function properly. Arthritis in one area can, through causing abnormal stress on the surrounding joints, spread to neighboring joints. Chiropractic can alleviate pain by restoring proper joint movement and function. This takes the stress off the joint and it's related structures leading to less pain.

  • Joint Dysfunction

  • Joint Dysfunction occurs when joints become stiff and full movement is restricted. It can be caused by injury, poor posture, overuse of a joint, muscle imbalances, and other causes. Joint Dysfunction can cause pain and selling in the joint and it's surrounding tissue.

Type of conditions that are forms of joint dysfunction include TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint) Dysfunction, Tennis Elbow, Medial Epicondylitis, or sacro-iliac dysfunction. • Many people think headaches are caused by being migraine prone, loud noises, or stress. While these are factors with headaches, they are not the only cause. There are many forms of headaches including Sinus headaches, Migraine, Cluster, allergy, etc. In many instances, many factors combine to give a person a headache. Neck injury is frequently associated with all forms of headaches. With typical cervicogenic (neck) headaches, a person feels pain starting at the base of the skull radiating around into the temples, eyeballs, and forehead. By eliminating the neck problems, headache frequency and severity can be greatly reduced and sometimes eliminated all together.

  • Pinched Nerves

  • Misalignment of the vertebra can cause impingement of nerve roots leading to pinched nerves. The impinged nerves can cause pain, numbness, weakness, and dysfunction of body parts are supplied by these nerves. Sciatica and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, along with other conditions that affects the arms and legs are often the result of pinched nerves. Chiropractic identifies these pinched nerves and their causes allowing the doctor to restore function with chiropractic manipulation of the affected joints.

Fibromyalgia is defined by chronic pain throughout the body mainly in the joints and muscles. Chiropractic care can help by providing relief from the pain for periods of time, restoration of function, decrease spasm, and increased energy levels.

  • Pregnancy Pain

  • Mothers-to-be enjoy a more comfortable pregnancy. The mother's spine and pelvis undergo many changes and adaptations to compensate for the growing baby and the risk of interference to her nervous system is increased. Specific chiropractic care throughout pregnancy works with enhancing nervous system function providing greater health potential for both the mother and baby. Another important reason for care throughout pregnancy is to help establish balance in the mother's pelvis. Because of a lifetime of stress and trauma to her spine and pelvis, her pelvic opening may be compromised, resulting in a less than optimum passage for the baby. The diameter of the woman's pelvis is decreased when the sacrum is displaced. Chiropractors define this displacement as a spinal misalignment or subluxation. We treat this misalignment with chiropractic manipulations which decrease pregnancy pelvic pain and maintain the pelvic opening.

  • Post-Partum Pain
